Homework Grading Rules (for even homework assignements)
- Citations: you can cite theorems, propositions, lemmas, corollaries and remarks in your textbook, but you can cite exercises only if they have been assigned as homework, unless the one you need to cite is a different part of an assigned homework problem.
- You can omit some easy parts of your proof by saying "it is obvious that...", "it is easy to see that...", etc. (This is also a technique to keep your proof reader-friendly.) But please do not abuse them.
- Some small potion of points will be awarded to a totally blank answer (at least you know you do not know) but no points will be given to a totally wrong "proof".
- In your final answer, specify those variables if it is not clear from the context which set they range in.
