Abstract:  The Schl\"afli formula is a key identity in hyperbolic geometry which relates the derivative of the volume of a polyhedron to the derivative of its dihedral angles at codimension 2 faces under a deformation. We will describe an extension to similar relations involving first-order variations of the volumes and "angles" at higher codimension faces. A second extension concerns similar relations which are vector-valued, and from whichthe scalar-valued higher Schl\"afli-type formulas follow. (Joint with Rabah Souam.)
