First prelim
- Tuesday 27 September, 7:30pm–9:00pm.
- Ives Hall 305.
- Material: Chapter 1 sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9; Chapter 2 sections 1, 2.
- Practice prelim. Suggested practice problems from supplementary exercises at the end of each chapter: Chapter 1. 1, 3, 5, 13, 15, 21; Chapter 2. 1, 5, 7, 13, 17.
- Practice prelim solutions.
- Prelim and solutions.
- Prelim 1 quartiles (approximate letter grade equivalents in parentheses): Q1 64 (C+/B-); Q2 79 (B); Q3 90 (B+/A-).
- Students who scored 40 or less are considered in imminent danger of failing. We ask them to contact their instructors (Professors Sen, Pires, or Sjamaar) and we will forward their names to their faculty advisers.
