Rogawski and Adams, Multivariable Caclulus, Third edition

We will be covering most of
Chapters 13-18.

Prelims and Final

There will be two evening prelims and one final exam. As the dates near, more information, including the location of the prelims, can be found here.

Prelim 1 — Thursday, March 8th
Prelim 2 — Thursday, April 19th
Final Exam — Tuesday, May 15th

It is the student's responsibility to resolve any prelim or exam conflicts well in advance of the test. In such cases an earlier exam is given on the same day at the department pre-arranged conflict time, 5:00 PM. Conflicts that aren't resolved by this rescheduled time will be considered on a case by case basis. Talk to your TA about conflicting exams.

There will be no make-up prelims given after the original scheduled time.

If you are very ill or have a serious emergency on a the day of a prelim or the final exam, you should contact Kelly Delp (kd288@cornell.edu) as soon as possible. (You risk getting an 'F' on a prelim (or the exam) if you miss the prelim for any reason and then try to explain later.) In the event that your absence is excused, your final exam grade will be used as a replacement for your prelim score.

Students who miss the final exam due to a verified emergency will be granted an incomplete grade for the course if they have passing level work on their prelims and homework. Make ups for the final are given at the start of the following term.


Your final grade will be based on the midterms, final, and recitation as follows:

Prelim 1 20%
Prelim 2 20%
Recitation 25%
Final 35%

Your recitation grade will be based on your homework, quizzes, and attendance and participation in workshops.
