The Geometry of Outer space - Math 7510 - Fall 2011

Karen Vogtmann, 503 Malott Hall, vogtmann@math.cornell.edu, Phone: 255-6494.

One outcome of this course will be a set of notes covering the basic facts about the geometry of Outer space. Notes from each lecture will be produced by two students: a scribe who is principally responsible for producing the notes and the lecturer, who is responsible for editing them to correct errors and misstatements.

I will post PDF files of the lecture notes as they are available. Comments and corrections are very welcome; they should be sent to me, the lecturer and the scribe.

Here is a zipped folder of TeX, graphics and PDF files showing how to put graphics in TeX.

Here is the current state of the amalgamated file, as of Dec. 29, 2011. It still needs quite a bit of work. If you are interested in helping to improve the file, please contact me.
