I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Cornell University. I am interested in symplectic geometry and its relationships with combinatorics and algebraic geometry.

Before arriving at Cornell, I spent a year at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Connecticut. I was a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley, and a graduate student in Mathematics at MIT, where I worked with Victor Guillemin. I taught recitation sections for courses at MIT, including single variable calculus and linear algebra. In addition, I spent two months teaching at ArsDigita University.

I was an undergraduate at Dartmouth College. I majored in mathematics, and
worked on research projects in combinatorics with Ken Bogart. "It is a
small college, and yet... there are those who love it." *Vox

College Marching Band , the Dartmouth
College Wind Symphony, and the Dartmouth College Chamber
Singers. Additionally, I was a member of
Alpha Theta Coeducational Fraternity and a member
of Fire and Skoal Senior Society. My senior year, I cofounded
something of a satirical fraternity, Kappa Tau. I spent the summer of
1996 in Duluth, MN, as well as a couple of visits in subsequent
summers, at the Duluth REU in Mathematics.
