MATH 4340 - Spring 2010


Text: There is no physical text for this class. Cornell has purchased electronic versions of a number of books that you can download for free when you are logged onto the internet through Cornell. I have not yet decided whether I will follow an etext or not. Various etexts are available here, here and here.

Grading: There will be one take-home prelim worth 30%. Homework is worth 30%. The  final exam worth 40%.

Examinations: The prelim will be a take home handed out on March ?? and due on March ??. The final exam is May ?? at ???am.
Exams are closed book. It is the student's responsibility to resolve any prelim or exam conflicts well in advance of the test.
Students with special needs can be accommodated by contacting Ravi well in advance of the test.

Academic Integrity: Each student in this course is expected to abide by the Cornell University Code of Academic Integrity.
In this course, students may work alone or in groups on the homework, but are to turn in all homework individually.
