Mathematical explorations!
There are no prerequisites for taking this course. Your main tool will be an
open and curious mind, and you will be assessed on your ability to
explore, discuss, and present ideas from a number of diverse areas
of mathematics. Attendence and participation are essential, and will be
recorded.
Short description
For students who wish to experience how mathematical ideas naturally evolve.
The homework consists of the students actively investigating mathematical
ideas. The course emphasizes ideas and imagination as opposed to techniques
and calculations. Some assessment is done through writing assignments.
