Good Questions

For information about the Good Questions Project, see http://www.math.cornell.edu/~GoodQuestions . There is also a handout given during the Joint Meetings in January 2005 which summarizes results of the project on student grades.

Linear Algebra was not formally part of the Good Questions Project, but people have used the idea anyway. Here are lists of linear algebra questions from instructors in two different Cornell classes:

• 221 , a PDF file with correct answers marked; references are to Bretscher's book. These were used as pre-class questions.
• 294 , a postscript file suitable for printing as transparencies. These were used in class.
