Dates: The Rt. 81 conference will take place on Oct. 2-3,2004. The Workshop on Resolutions will take place Sep.30-Oct.4, 2004.

Workshop on Resolutions: The following mathematicians will participate in the Workshop: Guilio Caviglia, Brian Coolen, Susan Cooper, Kia Dalili, Sara Faridi, Chris Francisco, Ping Li, Diane Maclagan, Jeff Mermin, Ben Richert, Sean Sather-Wagstaff, Achilleas Sinefakopoulos, Greg Smith, Alex Tchernev. Each participant is invited to give a talk. On Thursday, the lectures will take place in Room 205 and will start at 3 pm. On Friday, the lectures will take place in Rooms 205 and 230, and will start at 9 am. On Monday the lectures will take place in Room 420C, and will start at 9 am.
Rt.81 conference: This year the route 81 conference is in honor of Graham Evans' retirement. Many of his co-authors, friends, and students are planning on attending. The lectures will take place in Room 406.
Dinners: The conference dinner will
take place on Saturday, Oct. 2. After dinner (probably around 8:30),
there will be a dessert and wine party at Mike Stillman's.
On Friday several
groups will go to local restaurants. We will meet at 5:30 in the
Mathematics Department Lounge, or at 5:45 at the Grayhaven Motel,
or at 5:45 at the Hillside Inn, and then we will all meet at 6:15 in the
Commons (in front of the Madeline's Restaurant).

Travel by air: The simplest is to fly to
Ithaca Airport (served by US Air).
Another option is to fly to Syracuse
and drive to Ithaca (about 1 hour drive).
From Ithaca Airport to the Math. Dept.:
The easiest is to use the limo service there (actually, a van service).
You could go to
Ground Transportation (located at the airport), or call
607-273-3030, 607-273-3072.
Another option is to take bus #31 at the Airport
(7:21AM, 7:53AM, 8:33AM, 9:13AM, 9:53AM, 11:15AM, 12:15PM,
1:15PM, 2:15PM, 3:01PM, 3:41PM, 4:21PM, 5:01PM, 5:41PM, 6:21PM,
7:01PM, 7:41PM, 11:06PM)
and get off at the stop "Kennedy Hall" (close to the corner of Tower Rd.
and Garden Ave). There is no service on Saturday and Sunday.
