Announcements

• You should staple your homework (you can get staples from the circulation desk in any library). 2 points will be taken off for failing to do so.
• Quiz 1 will be held on September 24. It covers 5.4-6.4. You are allowed an A4-size handwritten cheat sheet. Computer-printed cheat sheets, calculators, books and notes are not allowed.
• Extra office hours: 2-4pm, Sept. 29, MLT 218.
• Quiz 2 will be held some time between Oct. 17 and Nov. 5., and cover Sect. 8.1 up to the material taught right before the quiz. The exact time will not be announced. You are advised to bring your cheat sheet to class from now on.
