Textbook Complex variables, by Levinston and Redheffer, Holden-Day Inc., 1970.
Grading The final grade is calculated as follows:
Homework: 70 percent
Final project: 30 percent
Exams Final projects:
(1) Conformal mappings onto polygons: the proof of Schwartz-Christoffel formula (Stein - Shakarchi, pages 231-247) - Adam, Alex and Murat.
(2) Entire functions: Weierstrass and Hadamard theorems (Stein - Shakarchi, pages 134-153) - Bum Joon, Ross and Brian.
(3) The Gamma and Zeta functions (Stein - Shakarchi, pages 159-174) - Kathryn and Steven.
(4) The Zeta function and the Prime Number theorem (Stein - Shakarchi, pages 181-197) - Nakul, Divya and Eric.
Homework Homeworks will be assigned each Thursday afternoon and they are due the next corresponding Thursday. They should be handed to me in class. Ho Hon will grade them and you can take them back either at the end of the Thursday class, or during my office hours. Here you can find the homework for the class
