Making calculus more active

How can we keep students in a calculus class engaged, thinking, and learning? How can we have productive mathematical conversations? In this session, we will explore the value of active learning in a calculus classroom, work on teaching moves that place student thinking at the center of the classroom, and together attempt to answer the difficult framing questions.
