Undergraduate Tutor PositionsTitle: Undergraduate Tutor for the Mathematics Support Center ResponsibilitiesUndergraduate tutors who work in the Math Support Center conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions and should (at minimum) be able to help students with the material taught in
Applicants with sufficient background to tutor for some of the upper-level math courses are encouraged. Tutors will be assigned specific hours to work in the Math Support Center each week. They may also work additional hours during busy times of the semester (e.g., right before an exam is held in one of the courses). During quiet times the tutors may help with the development of materials for the center. All new tutors will be expected to attend a one-hour training session. Hiring Procedure for 2012–2013Please submit your application by March 9th if you wish to be considered for a fall 2012 grader, tutor, or course assistant position. (Late applications will be accepted and considered if any openings remain.) Applications submitted for spring 2012 or later will be kept on file until you graduate. To reapply in the future, log in, update your application, and resubmit. If you receive an offer (by e-mail), respond as soon as possible to accept (or decline). Jobs are in demand and fill quickly. When a position opens up, we hire the first qualified applicant we can reach. Therefore, it is imperative that you keep your contact information current and check your email regularly.
