Instructional Technology Assistant Position

Available for Fall 2008

Title: Instructional Technology Assistant
Pay: $8.00+ per hour (FWS not required)
Hours: 6 hours per week

Schedule is flexible. Wages will be based on qualifications and experience.

Experience with Matlab, Maple, Mathematica, Minitab, or DataDesk (at least one) in the context of a course would be expected. Some general facility with computers would also be quite helpful.

Responsibilities

We support the department's use of technology in the classroom. You would be expected to:

  • Train faculty in the use of Blackboard, and our online testing system, MapleTA.
  • Prepare Blackboard courses and MapleTA quizzes for Math courses.
  • Develop question banks.
  • Answer questions from students, staff and faculty.
  • Keep the online aspects of our courses running smoothly.
