EducationPh.D. (2010) Massachusetts Institute of Technology Research Area: symplectic geometryMy research focuses on symplectic geometry, more specifically the kind that involves hamiltonian group actions on symplectic manifolds. I have been working on folded symplectic structures, in particular origami manifolds, and venturing into Poisson geometry via the study of b-manifolds. Selected PublicationsSymplectic origami (with Ana Cannas da Silva and Victor Guillemin), IMRN (to appear). Codimension one symplectic foliations and regular Poisson structures (with Victor Guillemin and Eva Miranda), Proceedings of the Poisson 2010 Conference, special issue of the Bulletin of the Brazilian Mathematical Society (to appear).
