EducationOn-going graduate coursework at Syracuse University, Mathematics Education Instructional SupportMy position involves teaching MATH 100: Calculus Preparation and two support courses, MATH 005 and MATH 006. These "00" courses are supplemental to MATH 105: Finite Mathematics and MATH 106: Calculus for the Life and Social Sciences. The main objective of the "00" courses is to reinforce topics and concepts taught in the parent courses and provide prelim review. In addition, I am the coordinator of the Learning Strategies Center (LSC) Statistics Lab of the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT). Free tutoring is provided for eight undergraduate statistics courses in the A&S, CALS, HE, and Hotel colleges. The lab is staffed with tutors four evenings per week to accommodate students enrolled in specific courses supported by the lab. During the summer, I coordinate mathematics instruction for the Prefreshman Summer Program (PSP). In addition, I teach MATH 003, a calculus and probability course which prepares students for MATH 105, MATH 106 and MATH 111. Selected PublicationsN/A Last modified: January 29, 2007 |
