normalization and Hilbert's nullstellensatz
- integral dependence, going
up/down, integral closure
- Primary decomposition in Noetherian rings
- Discrete valutation rings
- Hilbert functions and dimension theory
- Tor and Ext, flatness
- (Time permitting) Cohen-Macaulay rings, depth,
regular sequences
