MATH 761: Seminar in Geometry (Fall 2007)
Instructor: Xiaodong Cao
Meeting Time & Room
This is a second course in the Ricci flow. In this course, we will focus
more
on analytic techniques. We will talk about Li-Yau-Hamilton type differential
Harnack inequalities and their relations with Perelman's entropies, the maximum
principle, derivative estimates, Perelman's non-collapsing result and
singularity analysis, etc. The course does not depend on the previous one, basic
knowledge of geometry and PDE in graduate course should be enough.
