MATH 715:
Fourier Analysis (Spring 2007)
Instructor:
Camil Muscalu
Meeting
Time & Room
The goal of the class is to present some of the most fundamental ideas
of
classical harmonic analysis. The topics I have in mind to cover include
interpolation, Calderón-Zygmund theory, Littlewood-Paley theory, various
function spaces and estimates which are useful in PDE, etc. Some applications
to problems in geometric measure theory, complex analysis, PDE and ergodic theory,
will also be given. I had this class two years ago, but this time
I plan to follow a different route. I shall mostly rely on two distinct
sets of lecture notes, one of Wilhelm Schlag and one of Terry Tao.
From time to time, I will deviate from them and use other sources
including some personal notes.
