This course will be an introduction to the basics of etale cohomology with the ultimate aim of understanding at least the structure of the proofs of the Weil Conjectures.

Chapters II and III of Hartshorne's Algebraic Geometry are prequisites. I'll loosely follow Milne's notes (not his text) available at www.jmilne.org.
