This course will be a continuation of the spring course on the etale cohomology and the Weil Conjectures. We'll cover the smooth and proper base change theorems, Poncare duality, the rationality and functional equaitons of varieties of arbitrary dimension over finite fileds, and if time permits a proof of the Riemann hypothesis.
