My number theory course this fall will be on elliptic curves and modular forms. the aim is to emphasize their arithmetic aspects.
I plan to start with elliptic curves and hope to cover enough material about elliptic curves and modular forms so that the phrases "modular elliptic curve" and "Taniyama-Shimura Conjecture" make sense.
